Even if you are not much of a chef, a home kitchen remodeling can still give you a beautiful kitchen that quickly becomes the center of your Las Vegas, NV area home. After all, kitchens these days are not dark, gloomy places restricted to activities connected to the preparation of food. Modern kitchens are doubling as family rooms, where children do their homework, and indulge in other family friendly activities, like art work and games that the entire family can enjoy. It is also turning into an entertainment center where your friends can gather to catch up on your lives over a mug of coffee.
There is no kitchen that doesn't benefit from a kitchen island. If your kitchen remodeling plans do not include a built-in kitchen island, then it absolutely must make it on the list. A smaller kitchen will benefit from the extra counter space that an island offers without encroaching on the limited kitchen space. Your kitchen island can also be installed with split levels to encourage seating, for use as a dining area. Appliances and even your stove can be fitted into your kitchen island saving more space. If you have a cramped kitchen, create the illusion of space by bringing down a portion of the wall or the entire wall, and installing an island to act as a break off point between the kitchen and living areas. In a larger kitchen, an island has unlimited possibilities. You can have a large circular island that doubles as a dining area, conversation center, entertaining area and even a bar. When it comes to choosing a design for your island, most people go with the coordinated look that's safe and aesthetic, but you can add a dramatic look to your kitchen by using contrasting colors and textures.
Simply by installing a new cabinet or counter tops, bringing in an island, opening up a few windows and adding coordinated appliances, you can give your kitchen an entirely new look. A kitchen remodel is one of the highest ROI investments you can make in your home with most people recouping more than 90 % of the cost of renovation in resale value. Since the kitchen is such a visible part of your Las Vegas, NV area home, investing in its appearance and functionality offers greater value for money than other home improvements.
I have a bathtub/shower combo with some cabinets directly abover it making for a very enclosed space that I would like to completely redo. I envision having the cabintes above the shower/tub gutted and then a new shower/tub with nice large tile and new faucet/shower fixtures and a couple of recessed lights placed in above the bathing space. Thank you kindly for your time. I am open to any ideas.
